Youth club for young people with high functioning ASD

The HIT squad and Young Hackney Sports Unit have joined forces to trial a youth club for young people with high functioning ASD – for those who struggle to attend mainstream youth clubs.

Suitable for 8-14 years with mild language delay.

A pilot youth group for young people aged 8-14 with high functioning autism

The Wednesday club is for young people with social communication difficulties who want to hang out in a relaxed, unpressured and fun space. Suitable for young people with ASD who have mildly delayed language skills.

FREE (trial) group every Wednesday 4-5pm at Pearson Street Adventure Playground (previously Apples and Pears)

 

The sessions will run from 19th April – 31st May 201

What activities will there be?

  • Access to large adventure playground
  • Opportunity to join individual or group sporting activities
  • Relaxation activities
  • Opportunities to make friends and hang out with other young people
  • Quiet areas

NB During the first 2 weeks parents are welcome to stay in the centre
